Edge flashing
Edge flashing, also known as gutter or shingle lip, is a durable metal stop piece that safeguards and extends the lifespan of USB or plywood boards. It provides a secure platform for installing the initial shingle. This versatile component can be adjusted to accommodate different situations. The edge flashing is installed along the lower and side edges of the roof, ensuring a minimum coverage of 8 cm from the roof deck. During installation, it is important to position the starter flush with the lower edge and under the side edge of the roof. Edge flashing can be manufactured using colored sheets or sheets with a pebble coating.
